Umbrellas for everybody
I live in Florida and we are in full rainy season…The climate of the north and central parts of the US state of Florida is humid subtropical, which can be translated as hot and humid, while the South of Florida which is specifically where home is has a tropical climate. This mean in all twelve months we have temperatures of at least 64 °F for the most part with the occasional cold front during the winter time.
Tropical climates like Florida’s, usually have two seasons: the wet and the dry season. The rainy season is fully on right now (May through October ) and as a result the weather can change on a dime…That’s why in Florida we say, “if you do not like the weather, just wait 10 minutes.”
The sad reality is that for the next several months, an umbrella is a must have every time I leave the house…Now experience has taught me that the best way to be prepared for a rain shower, is to know what umbrella works best for the weather you are experiencing and your life style.
Be prepared at any time
Now that it is the rainy season and that the weather can go from sunny bright to stormy in no time, a compact umbrella that can fit in my bag, stroller or diaper bag is a must.
There are many different types of compact umbrellas, but one that is small enough to fit virtually anywhere, is the way to go.
Perfect for those days that you need protection from a light rain with not much wind, a RainEssentials compact mini umbrella by ShedRain with auto open and close will make your life easier and drier…. This handy and super compact umbrella folds up to an 8″, opening to a 40″ arc. This is perfect to provide you with protection for rainy days with a moderate rain fall.
Super cute designs with matching printed case, this super compact umbrella is very easy to carry anywhere you are and thanks to the really compact design, the umbrella can easily fit in small spaces with no problem at all …. your jacket, purse or even your pocket are some of the possible spots to carry the umbrella, and the auto close and open mechanism makes it a breeze to use!
Since our car has a pocket in the door and the umbrella has auto-open and close, it makes this the perfect umbrella to have in the door of the car.
Bigger umbrella for a bigger weather
When you need extra rain and wind protection, a bubble umbrella is what you will need to stay dry. Because not all umbrellas are designed the same and do not offer the same amount of protection against the elements.
The bubble design offers more protection than other designs but the same dome design that provides you with extra protection, can limit your visibility, so a see through canopy is always a great option for days with bigger precipitation and wind.
The auto open feature on any umbrella is always a good thing to look for when shopping for any umbrella.
For the younger members of the family
Because you want to keep the little ones dry, a kid’s umbrella with an appealing design for kids will encourage the kids to actually use the umbrella when they need it.
What do you need to look for when shopping for a kid’s umbrella?
First off, make sure you are getting a visually attractive design that is age appropriate. The same way you have a preference for shapes and colors, kids at a very early age can decide what they like and what they do not like.
Trust me, if your kid doesn’t like the umbrella, it doesn’t matter how much they need it, they won’t want to use it.
Kid’s character umbrellas can encourage your little ones to carry and use their umbrella a lot better than they would with a plain umbrella.
Get ready for the Rainy season with the ShedRain umbrellas: win a mini umbrella, a bubble umbrella and a kid’s umbrella!
